Welcome to the Cybersecurity Awareness Course.

Cybersecurity is no longer just an IT responsibility. It is a shared responsibility that involves every employee, every department, and every action we take when using company systems, devices, applications, and data.

Every day, we handle information that is important to our company, our clients, our colleagues, and our business operations. A simple click on a suspicious link, use of a weak password, sharing of confidential information, or delay in reporting a security concern can create risk. At the same time, one careful decision can help prevent a cyber incident.

As cybersecurity expert Bruce Schneier said, “Security is a process, not a product.” This means cybersecurity is not solved by tools alone. Firewalls, antivirus, MFA, and monitoring systems help protect us, but our daily behavior plays a major role in keeping the organization secure.

Kevin Mitnick also reminded us that attackers often target people, not just systems: “The bad guys will always look for the weakest link in the security chain.” This is why awareness matters. Cybersecurity training helps us recognize threats, avoid common mistakes, and respond properly when something seems suspicious.

This course is designed to help you understand the basic but important practices that protect our company, such as identifying phishing emails, using strong passwords, protecting confidential data, reporting incidents, and following approved security guidelines.

The goal is not to make everyone a cybersecurity expert. The goal is to help every employee become more aware, more careful, and more confident in making secure decisions at work.
